Difficulties are a part of life, they are guaranteed to come how we deal with them depends on us.  Eighty-Nine +1  offered us another dose of “Edutainment” with their latest offering What’s a Testimony Without a Test. Being familiar with their work I certainly expected to receive knowledge and to be entertained and I think this  has been their best piece of work.  As with their last two productions When God Created Woman and When Man Was Created by God they had a great ensemble cast  which consisted of some of Chicago’s most talented poets that effectively drove their message home.  This play was a bit more personal, Eighty-Nine +1 weaved in pieces of their personal testimony as well as the testimony of others that they have encountered.  It was a very revealing piece of artistry, one of the finest I have seen this year.  It seems as if nothing was held back from the audience and there were moments when the audience  was in tears due to what was presented.  It was more than a play, it was an alter call for all those who were carrying a burden!  Proceeds from the performance go to assist them in their fight against (MS) If you missed this production you truly missed a treat!  An encore presentation of this production is definitely needed!  Eighty-Nine +1 is a 501c3 organization and all donations made to them are tax deductable.  To stay in tune with what Eighty-Nine+1 is up to follow them on All social Media and to donate to their fight against MS follow the link below.
